Believe it or not, the Quantum water heater operates on the same principle as your refrigerator. It literally extracts energy from the atmosphere - from thin air - day or night, wind , rain or shine. Quantum operates in all seasons of the year.
NO
CFC's
A non CFC refrigerant transfers heat extracted by the energy collectors to a coil wrapped around the tank and then to the water.
The only electrical power used is to occasionally run a compressor.
The overall result is that a Quantum unit only uses between 1/6 and 1/4 the power needed by conventional electric and gas water heaters to heat the same amount of water.

The Quantum energy collectors come in a range of attractive Colorbond colours for home owners and architects who are concerned about aesthetics. The energy collectors are also designed to be lightweight (30kg) so you are in no danger from heavy roof mounted tanks causing structural roof damage.

LONG TANK LIFE
Indirect heat transfer is a gentle heating method that heats the tank's whole surface without electric booster elements corroding inside the water tank. Heat spots from heating elements are eliminated and the tank does not suffer from heat stress, saving you replacement costs.

LONG
LIFE AND WARRANTY
The Quantum water heater has a life expectancy similar to your refrigerator. The main components of tank, and evaporators are warranted for 5 years. Refrigeration compressor, pipework, plumbing valves and electrical components have a 2-year warranty period from the time of installation.
AIR SOURCED
COMPACT MODEL
In the Compact models, the refrigerant runs through a Fan Coil evaporator rather than a roof mounted panel. Heat energy is collected as the fan draws air through this evaporator coil.
The compact model can have advantages for difficult sites as it is an integrated unit and no "on site" refrigeration work is required. It uses the same Energy Efficient Heat Pump technology as our Solar Boosted models providing similar low cost production of hot water.
